I just took delivery of a bowl from Eric Hansen and (apart from it being of extraordinary quality) discovered it had a lovely property with the right size ball and on the right surface so I filmed it. It's by no means a performance, just a simple demonstration of what I mean....

Thanks folks, it's appreciated. I am really loving Eric's stuff at the moment, it has so much soul. Actually finding out the incredible lengths Eric goes to when searching for the right piece of wood has helped me understand why too...
I have still yet to come up with a routine for it. Each of Eric's pieces I have finds it's own unique routine, I'll have to film a few and put them on youtube. Bri |

I have a beautiful birch burl walnut lip chop cup made by Eric, and I love it. I find using fruit with it as a final load makes for a very pleasing aesthetic.

Ethan,
I didn't think of that, thank you. I have been using balls / tennis balls etc for their ease of use etc. Bri |

Best bowl routine is Johnny Thompson's. Has killer misdirection for final load. You could stuff a dog and nobody would see you do it.

I just received a Birch Burl B&V from Eric and I love it very very much. Eric included a plain wooded bowl as a gift which is another beautiful peice of art.
Have fun folks! |
