A big hello from Joeja (Georgia)Athens to be exact, home of the University of Georgia, although I was born and raised in South Louisiana, the Baton Rouge area, home or two time BCS Champion LSU.
I've been interested in magic since I was 11 and saw a magician at my school. I was amazed by his handling of the Chinese Linking Rings and the Cups and Balls. I went up to him afterwards and spoke with him, told him my interest in what he did and even helped him pack up. Afterwards, he gave me an Okito Coin Box and showed me briefly how it worked. He told to practice it everyday and perform it better than anyone else ever has, even if it was the only piece of magic I ever learned. He also told me never call what a magician does a trick, rather call it magic. I'm 45 now and for the last 10 years I have been performing magic, first on the street and in restaurants and for the last five a full blown illusion show. And that same Okito Coin Box that was given to me 34 years ago is a part of my show, I now use it as a part of my version of Wayne Houchin's "Sinful" routine. Peace
Peace

Such sage advice, "He told to practice it everyday and perform it better than anyone else ever has, even if it was the only piece of magic I ever learned."
which should be true of every effect ever shown in public. I still have many effects gifted me by 'old-timers'-- even if I can't perform them. Knoxville isn't that far way. Drop by sometime.

Welcome Dreadnought, My brother and his wife used to live in Social Circle until recently, maybe you know them. Their last name is Duck and they were assistant principal and principal respectively, in the area. Don't know the names of the schools they where at but big fans of the Bulldogs. Anyway enjoy your stay at the Café and if you have any video clips of you performing, let us know where we can see them.
Best Magical Wishes

Thanks for the welcome.
I've been to Knoxville several times Funs. Twice since I've been in Georgia for fun and once while in Louisiana for business, I was a police detective and got to attend a five day class at UT's Body Farm, all in all it was interesting but pretty disgusting. My wife and I are planning a summer vacation, either Ashville, since she's from North Carolina, Disney World!! or to Lookout Mtn/ Rock City. in case you can't tell, I'm the kid she's the adult. And JJ I am very aware of where Social Circle is, just outside of Monroe. Been there. But I'm sad to say I don't know your brother, maybe next time you are in the area we can all have dinner. Thanks
Peace
