For nearly five decades, the Abbott Magic Company produced Tops magazine, a seminal publication that featured columns from some of the all-time great magicians: Karrell Fox, Clarke "Senator" Crandall, Neil Foster, Frances Marshall...the list goes on.
Ceasing publication in the early '90s, The New Tops left behind a legacy of influencing generations of magicians. Now, in 2009, under the leadership of owner and publisher Greg Bordner, the Abbott Magic Company looks to continue the grand tradition it began in 1942. The Newest Tops is a new monthly e-zine published by the Abbott Magic Company. Featuring a number of columnists widely accepted as experts in their respective fields, The Newest Tops aims to continue the Abbott tradition of insight and advice - by magicians, for magicians. The lineup of columnists includes comedy magician Jeff Hobson, illusionists David Seebach and Chezaday, close-up magician Ron Jaxon, historians Julie Sobanski and Dr. Paul Nielsen, and stage magician Senor Rai. The Newest Tops is edited by stage/close-up magician John Sturk. Visit http://www.topsmag.com to read the first issue, and feel free to give us any feedback you like! Very nice John! MagicBob (Robert Zoerman), current President of the large and very active Ring 211 in Grand Rapids, used to write a Gospel magic column for "The New Tops". MagicBob and myself hope to send to you a very practical Gospel magic column submission for your review, hope you can use it in the new email TOPS magazine. Thanks again for starting this up, I know that I will be an eager reader as a long time fan of Abbott's products and the Get-Together. Hope you put your killer cups and balls routine in it someday. Sounds like you have a terrific starting lineup already, I remember Dave's columns well (and just mentioned in Dennis Loomis' article in MUM on the Zig Zag illusion). http://www.ChristianMagician.org http://www.MagicBob.org http://www.BusDebtLaw.com

I am glad to be part of this and to see Senior Rai get the respect and forum he deserves.

Content looks great. (Putting Chezaday on the cover might be a gamble though! )
Cheers!

Outstanding! I regret that it's difficult to print and carry around, but I cannot argue with the quality of the content.
I would especially like to thank Julie Sobanski, whose column had my wife and me laughing and laughing and laughing. More!! *jeep! --Grandpa Chet
