I'm Curtis, the son of Neil Lester (Cards By Martin). In going through his estate I have discovered a number of sheets of box seals (mostly blue if I recall). I'd also imagine that he has a lifetime supply of decks with any color, back, size that you can imagine. Still looking for a way to liquidate the inventory.

Even if the seals changed along with the box, that's only something we magicians would know. A layperson wouldn't find it odd to find an old seal on a deck.
I do agree with Bob, the first rule is business is not to upset your existing clients. By altering the box design, they've pretty much killed all the effects that relied on the old box design to work -- that is a bad thing no matter how you turn it. |

They probably feel that if someone wants a new look, they can get one of the many decks that are custom made (I.E. E, theory11, etc.) and wanted to revert to a classic feel. But most laymen will never notice the color of the deack seal.
