I have always just used crochet balls. I leanred C & B with them, so they feel natural to me by now. I was thinking of using a few big spongeballs as final loads, because they are my favorite ball to handle.

Evan, just a word of advice. If you use your cups and balls in close-up conditions your audience's reactions will be so much stronger if you use solid final loads. Anyone who performs this professionally will agree, I'm sure.
If you still want to use soft, collapsible loads, read what Tommy Wonder has added to enhance the illusion.
"Things need not have happened to be true.
Tales and dreams are the shadow-truths, that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes, and forgot." Neil Gaiman |

I do use a final load. Two actually. I just use crochet balls for my routine before the final load.
I was saying that I might try with spongeballs, since I like the handling with them. I do agree with you completly about using a solid load. that's what I use in my routine right now and I was just mentioning that I might try something new. Regards, Evan |

I use the Mike Rogers baseballs. Later they change into hacky sacks, then finaly into lemons.

Well I finally splurged on Auke Van Dokumm's balls and I have to say they are exquisite.
