Seen at Hocus-Pocus
I´ve perform the Hindu Thread, The Dragon and The Hindu with dental flush. Now another version comes along. Quite interesting, just like the Dragon Thread it can be torn and restored twice. Do anybody know this effect and is there any difference to the dragon thread? The BLURB Magician shows a length of string. He then winds it around his fingers and twists it into a small ball. The ball of string is them pulled apart and broken into many strands. Magician gathers up the shredded pieces and restores the string to its original state. Magician proceeds to repeat the effect only this time placing the shredded pieces in the spectator's hand. Performer then shows his hands empty, fingers wide apart. He gathers up shredded pieces of string from spectator's hand, balls up the broken pieces and once again restores it to its original state. He can then hand the string to the spectator to be freely examined. |

Just sounds exactly like the Dragon Thread. Doesn't sound any different. Who sells it?

Agreed, this is Dragon Thread renamed not redux. Blake probably has some agreement with Wong, I know he contacted Roger Monaco in releasing his coins across.

Sorry to jump in late on this topic. I don't know the Dragon Thread but I do know that this is John Blakes' handling of Max Londono's routine(hopefully I spelled the name correctly). Not sure if this helps.
Here is a video of it: http://www.eastcoastmagic.com/eacomaprest.html Jon |

Well, back again after two years break from magic. I did wind up purchasing eternal string, and I can say its quite different from Dragon thread and the Hindu. Actually the effect is super easy and compared to the other effects it has the clear advantage that the thread never tangles up in a knot or anything. It works every time, and is every bit as magical as the Hindu thread and the dragon thread. I kind of like it. A clear recommendation from my side.

Oh, BTW I forgot to mention that to its clear advantage Eternal String resets automatically. Compared to Hindu Thread that is certainly a very big advantage.
