Yeah, he kinda "waited in the rocket," didn't he?

He wasn't really there for the landing, so that's kinda why I suppose he's not mentioned.

I was just listening to a comic doing a piece about this last night. Ironic that I read this thread here today.

I personally do not believe that man has ever made it to the moon. I'm a gigantic conspiracy nut and I believe close to nothing, if not nothing at all. I also think the government covers up everything they don't want citizens to see. Aliens, Yetti, among others things. Call me crazy, but it;s just my beliefs.
Wouldn't this then mean you don't believe those that don't believe we went to the moon as well? What you said is obviously to be sarcastic otherwise your a kook's kook.

Giant steps are what you take, walking on the moon.

There are a lot of things I take for granted, and Have no hope of ever proving. Yet I accept them.

I cannot prove that the Earth is round. Though I believe it very strongly.
I cannot prove that anyone topped Mount Everest. Yet I believe it.
I cannot prove anyone has really survived the trip to the South Pole. That might conflict with the Earth being Round or Flat. Still I believe it.
Are the videos taken on the sunken Titanic real? That would be so east to fake. You could do it with film editing and filters in a shallow lake anywhere. Yet I believe it.

Guys, give up the conspiracy bull.

There's a difference between scientific proof and legal-historical proof.

Scientific proof is based on observation and testing.
Legal-historical proof is based on testimony. If enough people are alive when the facts are published about an event, and these people had either been eyewitnesses of the event or had participated in it, then the factual evidence of the event may be established.

Therefore: The world is round. There's no denying that.
Therefore: People have climbed Mount Everest.
Therefore: People have gone both to the North Pole and the South Pole.
Therefore: The Titanic wreckage is real.
Therefore: We did make it to the moon, several times.

Anyone who denies these things is a top-shelf kook.

And does the Earth orbit the Sun? (with apologies to Clarence Darrow)

Well stated, Doug.

Maloney's a kook. He has more than faith, he has credulity. He believes in spite of all evidence to the contrary.

Watch the Mythbusters episode on the moon landings if you have any doubt. They'll put it to rest.

Some one who believes something despite being offered evidence to the contrary.
None of the "conspiracy" evidence has ever withstood examination. None of it.
We went. Six times. Prove otherwise or deal with it!
