Is that Legal to copy a TV show on a computer and give it to friends? Putting it on web site? Offering it trough kazaa?

You can record TV shows for your own use but the are copyrighted material just like any other video production...

Look at the end of the production and you can usually find the copyright informaiton in the credits.

So. Is it legal to lend it to a friend? I'm pretty sure that a lot of ppl recorded shows for family members or friends. Is this illegal too?

I am sure no one would go after you giving the tape to friend but the website is a whole different matter. You will often hear the disclaimer for a sporting event on the radio use the words talk about "private, non-commerical use." As soon as you make it public, like a web site or try to make money from it, people start to get upset.

It is legal to tape a show and GIVE it to your friend, but it is illegal to tape a show and SELL it to your friend. As long as you don't profit in any way from the distribution of the video. Go nuts...
