I was reluctant to perform this close-up, but this evening changed my mind. I had the opportunity to work a 12 top. I was at the end of the table and took a couple of steps back and opened my set with the "Five Card Opener". All I can say is "perfect"! Everything went as Bill said it would. Could not have asked for anything better. As for the rest of the set, I really didn't need to prompt the spectators for the programmed response. They did it on their own. For those of you who have this will know what I'm talking about. Again, all I can say is PERFECT!!!

Sounds great. I have the effect, but it is really the idea of the programmed response that is the cool part. I will not do the 5 card opener but plan to take the idea and bring it to my 4 phase silk opener to trigger the same reaction.
I think Bill Abbott's idea on this effect is just wonderfull. Jan |

Tom,
Good to hear you had success with it in a restaurant. Not sure I'll get Austin's performance posted before I travel again this weekend. I'll send you a PM when I do... Ken |

Nonvpro - What's a "12 top"?
If I had to guess - I'd say it's the Bride/Groom etc table. But.. here, outside the US... it's a strange expression. Tks DCB

DCB,
Its the number of people at the table. A five top, would have 5 people seated at the table etc. So a 12 top would be seating 12. |

Thanks for that!

Has anyone tried this in their stand up settings yet? If so, can we get a review on this?

When I get back to Ireland I'll try it and let you know... Just had a quick look at it before I left a few weeks ago, and it looks like a winner.. I like Bill Abbott...
