I remember reading in Dunninger's Encyclopedia of Magic how a ball that vanishes using flash paper works. Although, it wasn't clear enough for me to make one. I also don't know what site I could buy them from. I suppose they don't manufacture them anymore due to the book being a bit out of date. Anybody know how I could make one or where to buy one? It would be a great way to do the first vanish in my routine.

Take a big piece of flash paper and roll it into a big ball, Billiard Ball size.
Light it on fire, and it will vanish... just like "that"!

You might be able to use a topit to vanish the ball. Steal a peace of flash paper and light it and toss it out while throwing the ball into the topit. Just a vague idea.

It may have been "Greater Magic" where I saw this, but they described a pull with a small suction cup on the end and the ball attached to it.
