I've put a cool partial shift I use (very) once in a while. I call it "Top Slug Shift" but I have no idea about its real name.

Does someone have any clue?

Thanks.

No one has ever seen that shift?

If you are talking about the shift to bring a block from the middle to the top, I am not sure what the advantage is ?

A real pass does the same thing, unless you want to keep a bottom stock while you pass the aces to the top ?

I do like the block shift to the bottom because the cards on top of the deck do not move Smile

Well, it's not the most useful move of the world but there are some advantages.

- more unnoticeable than a classic shift, IMHO. Just pivot the deck a little bit, kinda "palm" the top slug currently shifted while the squaring action and there's not much to see!

- No "big tell" movement, like inserting a finger or holding a big separation/break.

- You can, at will, put the "middle" slug (back) to the top or to the bottom. OK, the bigger your hands are, the best it is Smile.

- Much more easier to do than a classic shift!

- You can bypass cutcards (the primary goal why I worked out it).

Actually, I wonder if it's been in print/footage/DVD at some time. And what the name was.

Thanks for your help anyway.

I am not the person to ask if it has been invented before or in print. Sorry.
All that I can say is that I personally have not seen it.

Sue.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I think Tommy means Sue. As in the Johnny Cash song, maybe?
