My Max would probably be $1000, seeing as I wish to build it myself or have it made locally.

Sam,
The prop I described in my PM would cost you less than $200.00. We use it in a lot of our shows to great effect. Currently, it is the finale of our dove act in one of our resort shows this summer. |

Would you prefer making your dog disappear with the wringer or your dog appearing with the bucket?

Haha, I would prefer the first Illusion in the video. It looked like a crystal casket. However I have done up some basic basic plans of a Kennel appearance that I will email to you.

I have the Crystal Box. But it is made for a human being. It is not made for a dog to appear unless custom work is done to it.
Check out the following video clipping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROH8AL-kLgM It is referred to as a Square Circle. That is what RJE is talking about, but his look different. Would you like for your dog to appear that way? If yes, contact RJE. Quote:

The Tip Over Trunk is a lot easier to make than a Crystal Casket. A big help will be the book called "Mark Wilson's Complete Course In Magic." It explains a lot. It will also show other methods to make a trained dog appear. The Tip Over Trunk must be performed on stage only. Lighting is important. The background of the stage is important too. |

Thanks everyone for all your help, I have made a final decision about what I'm going to make. It will be similar to Osbornes Vanishing Dog. Thanks once again for all your great input!

Sam for a production with the kennel picture you posted think of the Black Art method.
Just food for thought. Square Circles and other such devices work on this principle.
Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.

Think more along the lines of Jimmy King's Indian Dove Chest. Sometimes it is called Doves to Rabbit. Mine is made by Chalet and, to my knowledge, is no longer produced. [I find the Doves to Rabbit still listed under chaletstephens.com, but I suggest you find it elsewhere. I have a 2 year old backorder in for a new one that has never been completed.]
Wonder is very necessary in life. When we're little kids, we're filled with wonder for the world - it's fascinating and miraculous. A lot of people lose that. They become cynical and jaded, especially in modern day society. Magic renews that wonder.
