I was wondering what size Diamond cut silks Lance Burton uses for Silk To Egg.
(At least they look like Diamond cut silks) I have two 18" Diamond cut silks and they are too small for this effect. Thanks

I seen him do it on a daytime show, I don't think he used a diamond cut silk. As a matter of fact he used an entirely different method all together. Using a real egg and sleight of hand. No fake, no TT, no imitation egg, how about that!

I've seen his version and it is slick. The silks looked like diamond cut but I guess I was wrong.
Thanks for the info!

I doubt if it was a diamond silk also. Lance's mentors did not use anything but full silks.
I suspect he was doing Karrell Fox's version. Richard

So, aside from the silk, is he using a Th*mb t** to vanish the silk the second time. It is a very clean vanish.

My eyes must be shot. As I watch the clip of Lance, it still looks like the silk can be diamond cut. But hey, I trust the guys that actually do his version and know it's a full silk.
I'm off to work on the trick. Thanks

It might be a diamond. If not it is a very thin silk.
It is hard to catch the silk steal but it appears to be the Karrell Fox second phase of his routine. Karrell did not use the hollow egg in the first phase. I'm not sure either. Let's just call it an educated guess. Richard

First, realize that the good "Eggs" will hold a regular 24" silk, look real and are too opaque to flash dark colors even under intense stage lights.
(They also come in brown which makes them more useful than the white ones even when you never show them.) Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |
