Hi everybody!
My name is Mike and I'm happy to have found such a great, thriving magic community. I performed quite a bit in high school and college, and even did a few illusion shows in my 20s. In recent years, I lost touch with my magical roots, although I must admit I still have a garage filled with several large illusions! A few years ago, I moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and met a performer named Scott Weston who was relatively new to magic. Scott performs as "Cashetta" and I was really impressed when I first saw Cashetta peform. Unlike many magicians, Scott was trained as a performer first, then grew into quite an accomplished magician. I had a great time helping Cashetta assemble 2 magic shows for 2 seasons in Provincetown then helping to produce a full illusion show which ran here in Fort Lauderdale last year called, "Cashetta, Queen of Magic!". At the end of last year, Cashetta moved to Las Vegas and has starred in her own show on the strip called, "Magic's a Drag!". It is a truly awesome, entertaining show. Cashetta has really burst onto the magic scene this year and has been excellently recieved in both Las Vegas and at the Magic Castle. If you are not familiar with her, please check out Cashetta.com and be sure to catch her show when your are in Las Vegas! Working with Cashetta has helped to rekindle my passion for magic. I'm no longer interested in doing a large stage show (I'm in process of selling my illusions), but I am interested in pursuing new areas of magic. I have always loved magic history and will certainly continue to read. I am also fascinated these days with mentalism and the old spiritualism effects performed during the height of the spiritualism movement. I'm looking forward to getting to know people here in the Magic Café. So far, I have been really impresses by the deep knowledge available here and the willingness of members to share. Thanks! Mike |

Thank you for the greetings. Career, business, life can all conspire to demand all our time and energies, but you're right, the fire never really burns out. I'm looking forward to learning a few new tricks and ways to share them with others.
