I don't have My copy of E.C.T. handy so don't know. I doubt it but who knows could be one of the uncredited Vernon items. The book has several of those.

The Mercury Card Fold is one of several moves that appeared in Expert Card Technique without credit to its originator. It was invented by John Scarne. Fred Braue describes the move and and gives credit for the move to Scarne. (See the Fred Braue Notebooks, Volume 3.)

That's right John Scarne I knew Vernon could not be right but put that in the post just to add to the crediting issues that E.C.T. had. In the back of My mind had wanted to say Scarne but since was not sure. didn't. Yes I should no better then to do that but too late now.

Scarne may have invented it but I'll bet Marlo came up with 87 different variations!

Howie Schwaarzman told me he invented water and air, but I to thought Ed Marlo was the creator of water and air. Maybe Howie invented SPAM.
