I'm looking for a good crushed and restored can but have heard quite a lot of bad things about some of the crushed restored products out there. Does anybody own a good one? Could someone recommend one? Can it be done without a gimmick?

The only one you'll ever need is "Healed and Sealed" ... It's the original, everything else is a copy-cat version.
It is the version that Blaine does on TV. Very straight forward, relatively easy, and extremely powerful. Cheapest place to get it currently is http://www.streetmagic.org -- I think it's like $8.90 with free shipping. MagiCat |

I have never seen Blaine do it. Would it be worth buying one or two of his vids? Everyone talks about him but I seem to be left in the dark.

He did it on his "Vertigo" special. You can get a lot of clips of Blaine performing by downloading them using programs like Kazaa, Morpheus or things like that if you are into those things. I know there are many discussions concerning Blaine floating (no pun intended) around the Café saying you shouldn't try to be exactly like him, you should come up with your own image. I agree with that. However, if you can come across the videos for cheap, or borrow them from friend or something, I would recommend it. You get to see a bunch of close up tricks that might inspire you to learn more. With all that said, I would buy Healed and Sealed without hesitation. It is cheap enough, fairly easy to do, about twenty seconds of prep work, no gimmicks, and you are left clean. If you only do this trick one time for yourself, I still feel it is worth it. Highly recommended.

adam, I own healed and sealed. I don't use it that often. There's just one part that I don't like about it. I have to agree with MagiCat though that is the best healed and sealed there is out there, so if you're going to get one, might as well get that one.
