A body was found in a cemetary in Kentucky....not so unusual but this one wasn't under ground but above it. Here is how the the body of the part time census taker was described: Hung in a tree naked except for a pair of socks, hands duct taped behind his back, feet duct taped, eyes duct taped, red rag in his mouth, and the word 'FED' written across his chest. The police said 'we are almost certain it was deliberate'. Ya think so?

Hmmm... got me wondering who fed him?
Seriously though it harks back to those references to "revenuers" from old movies.

Dang. Now the articles say there is 'no doubt he was murdered' and I found one article that kind of explained the earlier statement as being the result of a local police officer knowing it was a federal case trying to say he didn't know what was up cuz it wasn't their issue. I was leaning toward him tripping over a grave marker and falling three feet in the air into a noose left by rascally kids and got tangled in duct tape while struggling to escape.

I don't know. Some guys get off on that kind of thing. He may have mis-estimated the growth rate of that particular tree.

You have to wonder how angry a guy is at the gov if he kills some regular guy trying to make a few bucks. The killer had style though.

LOL!
We have a sheriff here in Chilton County, Alabama that filed a report that he interviewed twin brothers with birth dates three years apart! My wife is a physician and claims she has never seen a delivery take three years. Nevertheless, it is the sheriff's official sworn report. In today's paper he deliberately turned loose a prisoner (after three prior arrests) who was caught and arrested in another armed robbery while out on bond awaiting trial for 20 others. The sheriff claimed that no one told him not to do that! There is no limit to stupid. Perhaps this sheriff was the body guard of the dead man! |

Kind of like an EMT I know got into some serious stuff when he would put in his case reports on DOA runs
"When arrived found patient to be ART, transported and handed off to..." Wasn't pretty when he found out his supervisor knew what that acronym ment. |

My son used to rent a room from a probation officer who is a former sheriff. One of the abbreviations she used to describe homicide victims was: DRT.
Dead Right There. Maybe ART's related? |

There is hope after all. Nobody in here yet huffin' and puffin' about the insensitivity being expressed for the poor departed by racist keyboard thugs.
And did somebody say he was taped up by Ducks?

I suspect the brilliance of the pronouncement is more the work of lawyers than police.

Just a guess on ART.
Assuming Room Temperature? You can also not count on the Media to tell the story properly. My father is a retired Major of a large city PD with 35 years of service. The reporters often quoted him when he had not even spoken to them. They would put words in his mouth. A man that says very little. |

Thank you. When my wife had cardiac arrest and was in very bad shape in the ER (I had already been told she had died that day) a guy comes down from the intensive care unit and the nurse asks when a room would be ready for my wife. His reply was "The guy in there is still circling the drain". I looked at my father and we asked what that meant and when we found out we were none to happy.
