That really is a phenomenal price for that work!

Indeed it is! Alex did tell me that had he known ahead of time just how much detail I wanted in the drawing, he probably would have increased the price by about $25 dollars. But STILL...I would still have considered it a steal if I would have paid $115 for that piece.

I've seen so many caricature artists over the years charing upwards of $200.00 for something that borders on mediocrity. But then I've also seen some increadible stuff that starts off around $2000.00.

I told Alex that he should be charging 10x what he does but he's happy with this pricepoint so who am I to judge...

I knew you would find what you were looking for man, congrats!

Gotta admit you made a good choice with this artist, I could not have done as a good a job with the detail.

So, the guy in the guillotine sorta looks familiar!?

A Mister J Mystic I presume?

Thanks Christopher,

Actually this was done by an artist in Thailand, I was just showing the before and after... didn't want to hijack your thread with another link...

My opinions Herb
a picture like this represents fun, the bright colours with the comedy effects make it an eye pleasing picture. also it is so detailed you cant help but look for longer than you would say a normal business card, the detail draws you in

I agree with this... I thought it would be a small photo, but I found myself HAVING to see EVERYTHING! Nice one... Thanks for sharing! Smile

Thanks for sharing Chris. I just contacted this guy and I am in the process of having one made! The one I want is to transpose onto a 24" by 80" banner to be on display during my reading show in schools and libraries. It will be balancing on one foot and in the other hand balancing the books that I utilize in my program.

I asked Alex if he is getting a lot of calls from magicians due to Chris and he said is is getting two calls a day.

This guy does nice work.

Glad he's getting so many calls...I hope he's able to turn some of those over into bookings. The one he did for me, I plan to blow up into a 24x36" poster and get framed and matted for my office.

I love the banner idea...is he actually going to do it full size or just format it so you can have it blown up that big?

Please share it here when he's done! I'd love to see it...

I have to have mine made as a "Digital vector" file ($119.00 but still a great deal!) so it can be blown up. He is going to supply me with the image, then I can design my banner and have it printed by my printer. I hope it comes out great. I have high expectations that it will after seeing yours.

Received my Caricature from Alex. I think he was very generous with the hair! lol This is perfect as I want to transpose this onto a 24" by 80" banner and have it on display during my reading show. I will add graphics to the banner myself but I am very happy with it!
