Al, have you gotten to go to any of the games? I would love to, but.....I'll be glued to the TV and I will be there in spirit!
The Yankees will have a weaker batting lineup tonight, especially if Melke's injury keeps him out. If A.J. doesn't pitch great and hold the Phillies down, and/or if the big hitters of the Yankees don't have big games offensively, it could be a sad night for me. We got Malina catching instead of Jorge because of A.J. pitching, we may have Gardner instead of Cabrera, no D.H. so that means A.J. will have to bat......ooh. If that is the case I would move Cano up to the #5 spot, even though he has done little-to-nothing so far. He has been off through the entire post season for the most part, but he is very capable if he can just get it going. Swisher has changed his stance and is maybe coming out of his slump, so he might be a better choice at 5. To me there is no clear cut answer, but Cano/Swisher or Swisher/Cano seems like the best choices for the 5 & 6 spot in the order. We really need them both to hit, otherwise 1-4 may have to carry the bulk of the load. In a way I was hoping Girardi might wait to start A.J. back at Yankee stadium when we would have the D.H. so the batting order would not be shaken up so much. Maybe he will pitch great and we won't need many runs! If Cliff Lee pitches like he did in game #1, it may not matter anyway. With the Yankee lineup he may have an easier go of it tonight than he did then, and he was fantastic in game #1. I'm hoping he's not tonight!

City Bank Park only holds 45,000 people, and the Philadelphia area is over 5,000,000 people, so tickets are hard to come by. GO PHILLS

Boy 'O boy! Two evenly matched teams for a change. Makes this a very interesting, entertaining and suspensful series to watch. I prefer the Phillies (National League with no DH) but either team would be a worthy winner.

I dreaded the Phillies more than any of the NL playoff teams. I was hoping they would get upset and not make it to the World Series. No offense, Al!
I don't know how much more of this I can take. The Yankees/Angels series was a tough, and very exciting series too. I was glad to see the Red Sox lose (Yeah!!!!!) but at the same time I really dreaded the Angels. It seems they have had the Yankees number for a while. Now I hope the Yankees can end this one in 6 tomorrow night. I hope pitching on short rest doesn't catch up to them. Petitte is getting long in the tooth, but maybe he will have one more great game. If not, C.C. may have to go on short rest yet again. I hope he can continue to pitch well on short rest.....at least for one more game if there is a game 7. Go Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I have been a die hard Mets fan since 1966, I do feel a bit of pride that my home town won the World Series. I don't hate the Yankees. I don't even dislike the Yankees. Just that I am a Mets fan. Way to go New York!
