Frank Bemelman, the late Tommy Wonder's brother, placed Tommy's stage act for sale at eBay.
Hopefully, the act will get a good home!

The act, as it looked in 1988:

Am I the only one who finds this macabre?

Frank is following the wishes of his brother. Since he, himself, has no ties to the magic world, it would be unfair to expect him to act contrary to what Tommy has asked of him.

Why would anyone buy this? Why not develop your own OLP routine?

I guess this would be valuable for serious collectors - the price is up to $2700. And if this is what Tommy wanted, than so be it.

I know of a couple of collectors who would treasure and preserve this is item in memory of Tommy. Most of these guys the documentation is of the prime importance not ever doing the routine.

That would be a fitting tribute to an original thinker like Tommy...

With just over a day to go the price is at $8,600.00. I hope we are told who the collector/owner is. Could it be D.C. ???

I have another name in mind. I will probably be able to verify this in LA.

Let's hope that the Tommy Wonder's Act goes to someone who treasure the historical and intellectual value of those items.

If you look at the "bidders" you will see the top bidder has "0" prior buys and the second high bidder has 1,634.

Has anyone noticed the anomaly on the front image of Tommy's books of wonder? He is standing behind his table, but his left leg is touching the front left leg of the table. It also looks as if he is at a sleight lean backwards. I was just intrigued by this and wondered if there was substance behind it, a story to be told.

Is that an intended optical illusion?

I don't know, its unusual. that's what I was wondering about, if it were intentional or not.
