John,
I've seen on your website that you'll be soon offering downloads on your website (Coming Soon!). I must admit, as someone who lives on the other side of the globe, downloads are a great option (no postage costs, immediate delivery etc). What gems can we expect in the future? And when do you expect to begin rolling out your downloads? Many thanks, Jason |

Jason,
Depends upon demand (yours) and productivity (mine). My current projects are print projects, but I envision the occasional download. I had a free download for awhile which had issues. First, my non-magic friends and colleagues could access it. Second, there are free PDF bots scouring the web. I have been burned too many times paying too much for what proves to be too e-little. That said, there's a lot to like about it as well. Let's say I'm tentatively embracing the model. John

Thanks for the update, John. I imagine there would be fairly strong demand from your fans based outside of the USA (and in, come to think of it), but whether that is enough to balance out the many issues associated with downloads, I'm not sure. Fingers crossed. I certainly would be an eager buyer!
Best wishes from Australia, Jason |

John,
I can think of a possible solution to the issues with downloads: INTELLIGENT ENCRYPTION. Anyone can download the file, but without the key, all you get is gibberish. It's not that hard to implement.

If I may add, I loved the PDF you put up on your site a while ago and I would argue (unless you really ran into issues with the non-working public) that because of the kind of document it was, it wasn't too much of a risk to the magic community. It was written very well, but clearly designed for the magic student and probably left laymen with a "meh" response. Not because it's a poor trick but because, like so many things in magic, it's hard for the public to recognize a good, practical thing when they see it.
Oh and I already pre-ordered your BAD set (been waiting for it for months) and now am glad how soon it should be reaching my doorstep! I already own DMF and I know there is a lot of overlap, but I'm hoping that the video version will help me wriggle out of any tight spots I ran into in the book.

B*A*D is here. I'll mail as soon as I can. I guess the buzz stops here.
The View to a 'Skill PDF has been rolled into the Open and Notorious booklet which is one of the pre-order incentives for B*A*D. loyaleagle, good luck with the video. Let me know if there are any more "tight spots." John
