What is the title given to people who hire acts within hotels?
Events coordinator? Manager? thanks |

It varies. Sometimes it can be an assembly director, assistant manager, event planner or project supervisor. For better understanding at the front desk, I would request the "event coordinator". That way the front desk will know more about who to lead you to.
Some hotels would only book events through an agent. |

Mike is right about some only working with an agent which is why my company is Scho-Lan Entertainment. We book our people and have the liability insurance. Now "our people" consists on me, as a magi and balloon twister and my wife as an award winning face and body painter, but the hotels still consider us as an agency.

Lucky for me, 3rd world countries tend to be more relaxed about agents and insurance and all those headaches...

You may also try checking out the Food & Beverages Dept. Some hotels book or recommend shows from that department to the customers.
