I was just thinking about the size. 18x24 would be reasonable. Thinking of printing 200 big posters. Then printing smaller hand out flyer size (suggestion on size?). I would be printing these come December 1. My zip is 44460

Ok so this is for one show that you need to advertise for?

I think most store fronts will NOT put a 18x24 poster in theeir window at least from my experience. I use 11x17 for advertising posters as well as sell them at the shows.

I recommend either a 4x6 or 4x7 hand bill. I have had great success with my handbills. byt he way I use card stock for the h andbill much more impressive when some one picks it up to look at.

let me get you some prices and get back to you.
today is actually my day off but lets see if I can do it inbetween playing ping pong on the WII Smile

You know what let me take a look right now

ok 4x6 postcard handbill 4/1 that's full color front adn black and white back
500- $65 shipped
1000-$75 shipped
poster 11x17 4/0 full color front blank back
500-$265 shipped
1000-$285 shipped
if you want 250 the cost is not that much better
250-$245 shipped

Now I know these prices are unbelievable but I do this to help my fellow magi.

prices are subject to change (but not likely) have to print that just incase something happens with the price of paper:)

will you be able to provide finished artwork or do yo need design help too?
need to order 2 weeks prior to date you need them or earlier.

Thanks for the info on the posters. I will take any advice you are willing to give, I am new to this form of advertising. You may possibly be able to help me with the problem then too. I have worked in the past with a graphic design artist. He worked directly out of photoshop and was wonderful. Fortunately for me, I started dating a girl that is the most amazing artist I have ever met. I opted to have her design a poster me. After seeing her work, this seems to fit my style. It's a very gritty look to it and I love it. My question is this. If I had her design a poster on a normal size piece of paper, would it be greatly distorted when I took it to a larger size. I am unable to find anyone in the area with and oversized scanner. Any suggestions to that.

I really really like your prices. Two weeks is not a problem. I will probably have the design up and running sometime before the beginning of December. With what you have supplied I am leaning towards 1000 4x6 and 1000 11x17.

Truth be told taking a picture that has been drawn and trying to turn it into a poster maight be tuff. if she can draw the pic and put it into soem thing like adobe photoshop and then use that to create teh rest of the poster the goal wodu be to create it as close tot he size you need but usually the rule of thumb is you can make some thing 50% smaller tehn you need it and wehn you blow it up to 100% you will not be able to notice teh difference meaning the integraty of the poster and artwork will be fine.

again the best thing to do is design it in adobe.

I jsut reread your post. my friend is an artist and she is also a graphics person I will email her and ask the best way to go if you have to draw it.

if you wantot scan it in yourself at the size she drew it and save it as a jpeg and th en sedn it to me I can take it and see if I can enlarge it with out losing the quality.

what ever I can do to help.

I have lots of experience in this area and my prices can not be beat not to mention the incredible quality y ou wil get as well!

if you want I can mail yo some of the some of the handbills and posters I use so you can see the quality of what you will get.
jsut pm me your adress and I will mail it out tomorrow.

For an 11x17 poster, select the 11x17 flyer - it's cheaper! Smile

Hey chris starr
I am confused how is $299 plus shipping cheaper then my company offering it at $285 shipped.
not trying to be smart with you just curiuos how you see that the higher price is cheaper?!?

I am aware of Gotprint and they are not cheaper. yes once in a blue moon they offer something cheaper like biz cards and a sale on posters but day to day they are not cheaper. not to mention some of their stuff is not the same quality. I know as I have tried their stuff.

any who you can do what you want and so can magicjg

Sam,

You have great pricing! I've always used gotprint.com and zooprinting.com.

How does your product compare to these companies as far as the paper quality and do you offer the UV gloss coating?

Just a couple of quick ideas for Magicjg

First, Sam has great pricing.

Second, if you are going to do the artwork yourself you can go to OfficeMax or Office Depot and with a disk and get an 11 X 17 print in full color on glossy card-stock. It'll cost a couple of bucks (that's WAY too much for doing anything in bulk but it is nice to have an actual print in hand to see how it looks and "feels" to you).

After you have the mock-up then you can go to Sam (or whoever) with the same artwork.

Sorry Sam. I didn't mean to hijack your sales thread here. When I typed that it was cheaper, I should have stated that selecting the flyer option, as opposed to the poster option, was cheaper. All relating to the gotprint.com site - not cheaper than you.
