I was at Whitby bay in England the other day which is where Bram Stoker actually wrote Dracula. There are 2 cliffs that look on to the sea. On one of these cliffs there is an old church and graveyard and Whitby Abbey. This site would be an absolutley awesome setting for a vampire seance. Imagine this: on Halloween you invite a few people (there are loads of vampire wannabes in whitby) to a seance to try and get in touch with Bram Stoker and after a few scary moments (bangs and howls etc.) contact is made, not with Bram but a local sailor who died at sea and was bought back to be buried in the graveyard.
Has anyone ever done anything like this? Could you give a few hints and tips on how it went? I think a ouija board would work wonders here. |

Not my cup of tea, but I really think the production of a baby bat from your dove holder would be a nice addition. I got one for a few days in my home (had a broken wing). I think they're cute with their little teeth. Also, they will cover their face with their wing (just like a mantle) if you bring them close to a source of light!

If you want to learn how to mount a powerful seance, read these three books: Spirit Theater by Eugene Burger; Manifestations by Lee Earle; Raising the Dead for Fun and Profit by Jim Magus.
On top of all this, if you want to make convincing contact with Mr. Stoker, you'll need to do thorough research on him. In this instance, your audience is probably already loaded with experts, so you'll have your work cut out for you. Incidentally, the setting you describe sounds lovely, and contacting Mr. Stoker is an excellent idea, although I'm not sure about the dead sailor bit, as it could be rather disappointing to the vampire-friendly participants in attendance. Finally: this isn't a vampire seance. Vampires cannot be contacted by seance, as they are undead.
