It would like to ask for help / advice you on some tricks, to know if a novice can do them with something of knowledge in magic of cards, not great knowledge but passably for some tricks. The tricks are the following ones: - Metamorphosis (Wayne Dobson) - Tarántula - Clink (can it be done by Euros?) - Alpha to Omega - Branded - Smart Ass - Powerball 60 - Identity - Decision (Mozique) - Ichange (Peter Nardi) - Trilogy - Cataclism - Killer Elite - Heirloom I wait be able help / guide me. Thanks, friends magicians. Best Regards. |

My personal opinion would be for you to pick up a good magic book before you spend loads of cash on tricks as some of these cost a pretty penny.
Now, to answer your question. The majority of these require knowledge of basic to intermediate technique, and not to mention strong presentation skills. I wouldn't suggest that a novice go out and do most of these in fear that they'd... "run before they walked", and if this occurs then a multitude of bad things could follow. If you're only going to impress some friends (and you're over 18), go for Powerball. That would make the most sense to me. I hope this makes sense. It's just my opinion though. |

Good morning,
Thanks for your advice, but I gave it 4 years ago and I followed (I have books and DVD where I learned and still learning). I have 4 years to work magic, but devoted little time, the time I leave my 2 children. I say I am a rookie because I reach the level of many of the folks that are on this forum, but I have some knowledge, and I dedicate professionally, but as a hobby. Each year I like to buy some of the best tricks that come out, that can surprise, but not very complex, so I put that list. Is that some games such as Powerball is easy, but I do not know if any other, can be a high level very high and will be a waste I hope they can help and thanks for the advice. Greetings. |

- Tarántula - you've stated you don't have any time to read books, so I can guarntee you won't have the time involved to get good with IT, so No
- Branded - depends, I'm not sure how good you are with a deck of cards but I suppose you could use a gimmicked deck. That being said, the effect itself is easy to do, you'll just have to work on presentation - Powerball 60 - easy to do but all depends on presentation - Identity - again, you should have some decent chops with cards, but you could do a the simplified version without much difficulty Those are the only ones, I currently have. That being said, I agree with the other guy that you can learn a heck of a lot more from a book like AOA Volume 1. You'd get way more material than that above and for only $35. Just the 4 tricks above will run you over $185. But hey, if you just want a couple of good trick, go for it. |
