Hello,
I want to buy an card table for practicing my sleights. I want to buy a round table, with green cloth as used bij Steve Forte (See 52 in GPS dvd), members mr Z and I believe Clock. Can someone tell me where I can get this? Thanks 020 |

Try http://www.pokerchips.nl, should be in your neighbourhood, saving you some shipping costs. Or just build one yourself, or go to the kringloop, buy a cheap one there and have the cloth put on it by a furnisher.

The top of their practice tables is very interesting. Unfortunately it is no longer made.
It was some type of form fitting elastic that will fit around the base of the table. Mr. Z told me the name a long time ago, but I've since forgotten it. They are unfortunately, as I said, long gone. Tabman made a really cool looking Erdnase practice table (at least I think that's what he called it). Never saw it in person but it looked really cool online. |

I think what you're talking about is a poker table "hoody" or "hoodie".
I bought one many years ago and it didn't last a week. I made my own and it was perfect. Just make sure you use the right kind of fabric to make it a genuine poker table. |

The product was called a Kard Kushion and was sold at the Gamblers General Store here in Vegas. I may have bought the last one in existence back in 2001. The company folded soon after. Forte probably owns 3 or 4 of them.
It ain't the same as the "poker hoody" or that drawstring-type thing they sell on eBay. Clock was successfully able to make something near identical to it, I would consult him for advice.

Richard Turner had a "custom" table top made for his round kitchen table and it is exceptional, so there must be outlets for quality, cutom-fitted cloths that allow tables to serve "double-duty".
One minute we were being entertained with card wizardry on Richard's table, and the next thing I knew the cloth was pulled off and the decks of cards were replaced with a Rudy's Bar-B-Que dinner. As much as I enjoyed Richard's manipulations, that real San Antonio Bar-B-Que was other-worldy for a guy who likes his Q! My mouth's watering just thinking about it here in the frozen northeast! Bret
