Could use some help. I live in Utah, but will have some limited time in LV and would like to visit a good magic shop with out fighting the crowds in the hotel/casinos. Also like to talk with knowlegable folks. I buy on line, but sometimes I rather handle the items before buying. Can anybody steer me to what I'm looking for? Thank you for your help.

Denny and Lee's on Dean Martin, South of Tropicana is the main magic store that magicians visit there. Not a lot of props, they have some gaffed coins, some small tricks, but mostly lecture notes, DVDs and books. Denny carries a much larger inventory in his Maryland store. Only two on the strip that carry much more than pure pitch type magic are at the Riveria and the Stratosphere. Both owned by the same guy and both largely have the same items. You can find a few box tricks there, not a lot in the way of dvds and books though. Almost everything on the strip sells pitch magic. Penguin is located in Las Vegas but doesn't have a retail outlet, just over net sales. Best bet if you want to shop for magic in Las Vegas is go the first of March to World Magic Seminar at the Orleans, the dealer room generally has a great selection, but you have to register for the convention to get access to it. Great convention, always top performers and lectures.
