All but one SW is still up and going (for now) out here in Dallas. Not sure how much longer they will be around. We stopped going as the food is now sub par and it's about a 60 mile drive from our front door.
I played a SW back in Virgina about 20 years ago. It was brand new and was an awesome gig to play. To my knowledge, it's still there and they still have a Magician along with a Balloon Twister performing there. Good luck! Christopher

We have one near our house and the kids love to eat there. It is always busy and seems like a good place for magic. They also have a bar area that seems to be pretty empty even when there is large crowd waiting for tables. Magic could really help them draw people in for a before dinner drink.
Thanks, Richard |

Down here in San Antonio we have a SW that's always busy (food's pretty good...massive portions!)
The restaurant has a wonderful magician by the name of Doug Gorman. He performs tableside magic as well as a regular Dinner Show. Great Stuff!! Richard, I also agree about the bar situation at our local SW.....pretty empty most of the time. Respectfully, Rochaz

Went to talk to them the other day. food was fantastic. Going for balloons, but had magic with me.
Turns out they have some one doing magic on Fridays. and just looking for balloons, fine by me, but another balloon person is also trying for the job. I offer the first night free, and after talking to the manager I feel good about my chances. my only concern is the other person is a college kid, and may under cut my price.

Pokie,
You may also say something to the effect of: "I do understand that LESS EXPERIENCED twisters use tactics such as trying to undercut my fee as they are usually not very good and are looking more to gain "experience" then trying to earn a living. But do you really want to pay for their training? With me, you are giving yourself the "piece of mind" that you're hiring a professional twister with (insert # here) years of experience!" Good luck Pokie and keep us posted! Christopher

Christopher: that's the way I played it, subtly of coarse. and the manager had kind of let on about the collage thing, with out putting the other twister down.
Interesting dance this one is. will be in touch with them Monday. Wish I had spy's for this but my minions are busy.
