i am looking for a effect where i can produce a full bottle of champagne.
this effect i have here is called champagne, here is the description, Magician begins by flipping through a drawing pad, displaying different brands of champagne bottles. A spectator opens the drawing pad at any point in order to choose a specific bottle. The magician proceeds to tear the chosen page off the pad and roll it into a tube. With a snap of his fingers, and from within the rolled-up tube, he produces the chosen bottle! The page is then unrolled and seen to be blank at the end (with the exception of a solitary champagne glass). Wow! Hey, you can even uncork the bottle and... it's champagne for all! Can’t think of a happier way to end a performance! This is ideal for one-on-one magic. Works great with the CEO of prospective client. Top quality materials, specially manufactured in durable paper allowing for easy tearing and replacement of sheets. Includes everything you need to perform this amazing effect, including the drawing pad and papers and detailed handling instructions. now i want to know if this is something like Kevin James bowling ball production but a bottle is produced not a bowling ball. is it made well? anyone who actualy owns the effect that can give a review would help me out a bunch. also, is the paper gimmicked that the bottle is produced from, i would like to vanish the bottle after, using one of my own methods. thanks everyone in advance |

Check out the new issue of Genii magazine JULY
Great bottle production and alot of other great effects.. SUPER issue...Check it out David Paul DJ Trix, The above description of the Champagne production sounds exactly like O Mago Anton's "The Fruiterer" ..I purchased it from Hocus Pocus recently, only in this effect there are numerous pictures of fruit. An orange is freely chosen, that page is torn rolled into a tube and a real orange is produced...The handling is very similar to the work of Jerry Andrus in his video, " A Lifetime of Magic " volume #1.. if you are all familiar with him you'll know what I mean. Hope this helps David Paul

Last year at the K.C. Workshop, Micheal Ammar did a beautiful production of a full bottle from a silk during his lecture. I won't reveal his method, but maybe somebody knows, or you can research, where he included this in one of his many publications/videos.

Yeah, Look for Ammar's Bottle production in the book "The Magic of Michael Ammar" I don't think you'll find a cleaner handling. Plus you can always force the particular champagne bottle by making a book like a magic coloring book or Svengali deck, with the bottle you want to produce. Imagination just have to take over after that.

but does anybody have this effect i am asking about and can give a review?
Davidpaul$, how is the effect with the fruit? are the gimmicks well made, is the handeling clean, is the effect magicial, and how is just the overall effect? i know there are better versions to produce a bottle but i was sitting around one day and created a ruitine that would be perfect for this effect without ever owning it, weirdly enough... can some owner please comment on this effect, i would be soo greatful.. thanks |

DJ Trix,
I sent you a PM in regards to above trick. The effect is called " Fruit Box". I purchased from Hocus Pocus. Very well made. You bring out a large size tablet with various pictures of fruit. You flip through the pages displaying all the different choices. As you flip through again, your spectator calls out stop, and you stop at the picture of an orange. Your audience see's a picture of an orange complete with the stem and some leaves. When you rip out the page, roll it up, out pops the real orange and when you unravel the page, all that is on the page is the picture of the stem and leaves. Nice routine, haven't tried it yet but I will. Comes complete with a color picture pamphlet (Audience view and performer view) as well as written instructions that compliment the picture pamphlet. There you have it.. David Paul

Bob Read was doing the bottle production thirty years ago. His method is in "Thanks to Pepys" from the early seventies. It's called "The Incredible Bottle Production." I saw him lecture many years ago and he blew the room away with the bottle production. He explained it and said that he would do it again later and we would still be fooled. He was right.
Mike Someone mentioned Michael Ammar's bottle production from "The Magic of Michael Ammar." I can't find it in the book. There is a coin into champaigne bottle but I didn't see a production. Maybe it's in a different publication.. any help.. Mike
