I've used the search function but haven't seen a real review of this new project by Roberto Giobbi (http://www.hahnemagic.com/roberto_giobbi.html). I have lybrary.com version which is an ebook CD-ROM and includes video clips of the moves but am interested in hearing what owners of this DVD set have to say.
They began shipping last month and a special $99 price is in effect only until the 30th of the month. Comments anyone?

Well there are some thoughts over here:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......rum=2&41 I just received mine on Friday last. I was fortunate enough to attend a Giobbi workshop last summer (2009) and decided that this man's personality really ADDED to how I learned from him - so when I saw the DVD series, I went ahead and ordered it. I'm not a "watch the whole DVD as fast as possible" kind of person - especially when the DVD methods and techniques that need to be built upon like this. I have watched all of the first (of four) DVD's and it is simply superb. In fact, I have watched certain sections several times - I loved his approach to "opening up" the body language on the overhand shuffle for example. The effects are very nice, and he provides great historical references and credits as well as thoughts as to why he might put two effects together, or how he wants to time certain actions and words. These are the same people that put together John Carney's Master Sessions which I also found to be exquisitely produced, thought out and presented ... I see this exact same excellence in these DVD's as well so far. It is an excellent companion to the books (there are many, many tricks in the book that are not on the DVD, and a few sleights as well), though the DVD's would stand quite well on their own as well. Hope this helps, Jason |

Jason - thanks for the link (I completely missed the conversation by Lawrence on Giobbi's new DVD set).
I've heard nothing but good things about Carney's Master Sessions so I'm sure the production values would be good on this set as well. Thanks again. If/when I decide to purchase I'll add my own thoughts to this thread. Regards, Tony
