Okay, I have one question for you guys that I couldn't answer on google or even by running a Café search. So I ordered a copper/silver and it didn't even come with instructions. It was pretty easy to figure out, but I couldn't find and effect to go with it. The same thing happened with my change bag, no effects, not even instructions. So my question is how do you learn effects for props you already have without paying extra?
Thanks, -Teed |

Books and other magicians... neither /has/ to cost extra. But building your library will cost something. Remember the best kept secrets of magic are in books.

You also have to be careful what you buy. There are a few items that when bought generally assume you have a reason for buying them. You discovered two right up front.
A copper/silver coin is a KILLER item if you have a use for it and in most uses assumes you have the basic skill set to make the most of it. Classic and Finger Palm, Bobo Switch, etc. Best,

If you have the gaff you can always look on the net at youtube or the likes and watch some of the routines that are done this will give you some ideas. I am guessing that you have read some coin books or seen some videos nothing beats a good book or vid.

Get some books. copper/silver is in bobo's and the change bag is probably in tarbell I'm not sure. do some research in magic books. (try the library) the stuff is out there you just got to do the leg work. one of my favorite coin effects uses a copper and silver from bobo's. not that my opinion matters

See if you can hook up with another magician face to face, even if you have to make a trip out of it. It takes me about 3-4 hours to drive to the nearest magic store or to meet with a good teacher. I can only do it once every couple of months on my budget. But you will learn to see magic in ways you never dreamed of!

Teed, I suggest looking for your nearest I.B.M. Ring or S.A.M'S(International Brotherhood of Magicians / Society of American Magicians)You can learn a lot from your fellow magicians. At my I.B.M. Ring I have over 100 years of combined experience to learn from! Have a good journey!
