I am wondering if any of you guys have performed bizarre magic on a first date and what was it.
Three years ago before I was into mentalism and magic a friend bent a spoon the first time we sat for dinner (I know bending spoons is not bizarre magic per se, but he said he was able to do it because of his relationship with the devil, which to me, at least presentation wise, qualifies as bizarre!) Anyway, it really freaked me out. Then a recent ex boyfriend did an astrology thing (I forgot the name of it) on our first date. I think it was something from Brother Shadow. I loved it. How do I find Brother Shadow material anyway? Anabelle |

Yes! You have to love Brother Shadow. That is a nice effect (scoring with the zodiac) when done properly... used it more than once myself, along with his wheel of fate... nice real nice.
Let me say, that I do not think the effect your ex did on you will work as well from a women to a man. I could be wrong..I will have to look it up. Brother Shadow is strictly snail mail, so you will have to email him, I will save you some time he is away from his computer till 2 July. His email addy is: Broshad@aol.com I have read a few of your posts. I am not sure exactly what your goals are, so may I suggest reading Bob Cassidy's fundamentals series 4 aparts (should be six, but he never finished them). Want a great effect for a frist date? I believe Sir T posted the name of an effect that would put a demon sign on different parts of your date's body. It is not Stars and Hexes, which is nice as well, but not as clean. You will have to do a check to find the name of it, I forget off hand. To answer your question, Yes I have! My favorite is by Brother Shadow, but Lee Earl's Sun Signs ranks up there if done on a group date. I like to keep it on going and simple... let them catch it. I never bent a fork or a spoon, but they do tend to fall apart when I stir my coffee.......things just happen when I am around......... lol Hope that helps you |

If a woman did a bizarre magic effect for me on our first date..... WOW, I would melt.
I personally have used magic (bizarre included) to pick up members of the female species, but I usually try to abstain from it for them on a first date. I want a woman to want me for me, not the occult powers that flow through me. By the second or third date, when they are asking to see some magic, then I let them have it... that magic is an art, and an art worth your learning. The question is rather, whether you be capable of learning it? Magic is somewhat like poetry, men are to be born so: I mean, with inclinations to it, though both may be heightened by discourse and prac

I believe that saving your 'magic' for some time later will be much stronger.
I'm talking about a couple of months... Also, having some close friends who have never seen you doing anything is quite magical in itself. |

I try not to perform magic of any kind on a first date ... but I have been asked, so in those cases I'll do some propless mentalism with perhaps a bizarre kicker ... but I'd rather not; if everything goes well there will be plenty of time for that later.

I agree with Yaniv... if you leave it longer it becomes more of a shocker.
