I started off with cards and disliked them since its a pain carrying a bunch of trick decks and it was difficult doing card sleights. Now I'm more of a money, rubber band, finger ring and string magician. I just happened to stumble upon Sanders' fiber optics dvd and realized I've been missing out on rope magic.
All I gotta say is D-A-M-N this is good magic. I've been practicing majority of the effects for about 3 months now and is on my top 3 favorite illusion. At the moment I'm just performing it as a mute because I haven't gotten the patter down yet. I'm also using the hyper ring which also extends the routine. Are there any other effects that's just like this? I'm looking for extra moves that will tie into fiber optics. I already have daryl's rope dvd set. Also I don't want to be carrying scissors and cutting rope. I just like my 3 uneven rope and would like to further manipulate them. |

Hi defconskylude,
I think you'll enjoy Aldo Colombini's "Roped In" DVD. It's available at his web site: http://www.wildcolombini.com/ or Magic Ian's "Dances With Ropes" (he's here on the Café if you'd like more info). There's tons of rope material available (don't ignore books... they have more great material than you could ever hope to master). Regards, Steve

Does the fiber optics DVD cover illusions with fiberoptics also? I think now days many people work more with fibers than ropes.

Tabary has some great effects with rope and so does Flip. Both of these DVD's can be purchased from L&L Publishing.

The prices are right at $10 each and with his specials its a real deal. A lot of Sanders "advanced" is in Sands, Tabary, Aldo, mine, and others. Sanders teaches well, but the dvd navigation can be confusing.
