I may be doing some silk dyeing soon. I used Jacquard Silk Dyes many years ago, but I'm wondering what the pros use nowadays. Of course, I'm looking for vibrant and rich color.

This will probably be a tie dye job on a 3' to 5' streamer. Do you use the same dye whether it's a tie dye or dye resist type of design?

What brand of dye do you use?

Where do you buy your dyes?

I don't have much experience in the area, so those with more knowledge can chime in, but RIT works well and is easy to find. It also comes in many colors and is pretty easy to mix together different shades.

Mary,
Contact Dharma. I get all my supplies there. I have been dying and tie dying for years. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
