Although this effect does not have a name, and I have had to name it myself,it has an interesting effect and the stack is easy to memorise after a couple of performances. Check it out on some on some of his lecture notes and DVDs.

I believe is talking about Dave's handling of the E.G Brown Spelling Trick which was in his book Williamson's Wonder. It appears it is now on his lecture dvd.

I have it on the David Williamson lecture notes DVD that was filmed at the IBM magic convention. And thank you very much for the welcoming Mike.

Hi
In Williamson's Wonders by Richard Kaufman, we named it "He who spelt it, dealt it" It is based on the Edward Brown trick "A futile lesson in open spelling" Bill Goodwin made some great improvements to the stack, eliminating the displacement and published the routine in his lecture notes. I made further minor changes to the stack and patter and put it on a private lecture DVD that I sell at lectures only. Also, Bob Hamilton filmed me at the Southport IBM convention in England several years ago where I explain the routine and it is available from him on DVD. Hope that helps. Dave |

I own all three of your superb DVDs and am missing only the one that I'll never be able to obtain unless you eventually wend your way up to Portland, OR and give a lecture. I guess I'll have to take a trip to your parent's farm house and scrounge around in the root cellar basement and find your secret stash of these lecture DVDs. (grin) Best regards, Mike.
