Hello!

First of all I didn't know where to put that request, so please move it to the right topic.

Two collegues of mine and me are planing a close-up show.
Our complete acts are done and there are nearly all topics involved.
But we are looking for a good ending!
In our acts are very strong climaxes contained and so we need a great big finish.
We are open to all ideas.
Light and sound etc is available. So we have a lot of possibilities.

We are looking forward to hear your ideas.

Many thanks

Matthew

What are each performer's closing tricks? Also... do you plan on each doing a set on their own? And do you want a single trick that both do?

We did a comedy bit once Where we did Twisting the Aces, using my left hand and his (his name was Mathew) right hand, standing close together. Smile Smile

You oculd also both do the cups and balls simultaneously, I think you can see this with a guy and his daughter (pro's in France) at the Double Fond website. Just can't recall his name, perhaps someone here can help with the name. It is a great routine.

Mike Tallon and Doug Gorman do a double cups and balls routine to Dueling Banjos. They performed it at the combined convention in Louisville.

Since there are three of you, though, you might want to consider something else.

How long is the show going to be? How long are the individual segments? Do you have an opening number that involves all three of you?

Will you be performing at Zell am See?

Perhaps it would be best to have One Introduce the first two acts and then be the closing act.

Then all could come forth and the one in the middle do some kind of silk production and the two outer dudes grip an end and hold it up to applause?

Or... each has a cup, and each puts a small ball under their cups and then they lift the cups to reveal three large load balls.

The idea with the silks has me thinking. Suppose one of them comes out and produces a silk, the second does the same, and the third follows suit. The one in the center takes all three of the silks, puts them together and produces a bottle of champagne, with which they toast the audience.

Short, sweet and simple.

His name is Dominique Duvivier. He does it with his daughter.

Yes we are already doing the cups and balls all three together.
One is the guy who is sitting and gets handcuffed. One does the right hand and one the left hand.
We also have 3 other tricks which we are doing all three simultaneously.
And yes we are all doing an act all alone which lasts about 20 minutes.

No we won't perform there but we will attend.

Our beginning of the show would be:
The first one of us produces a cigarette witch flashpaper
The second lights it with the "power of his mind"
And the third one vanishes the cigarette and points to a poster witch a no smoking sign.

That is just our way to show them that smoking isn't allowed.

Then the first one produces a glass of juice out of an envelope.
The second produces a glass of sparkling wine from a silk and the last one produces a bottle of wine out of a balloon.
So we have a duplicate with the ending?

What is your opinion? What should we leave and what should we cancel?

I'd produce an *empty* wine glass and then the bottle, pour a drink and toast the audience as you say your farewells.

For the first production the first two could take satisfied swigs from they're glasses, then the third one produces a wine bottle which winds up empty and he's denied his drink. You're then could do the repeat bottle production at the end with a bit of comedy, all three produce a wine glass, then threaten whoever's doing the bottle production with something and tell him not to screw up. Have him produce the full bottle, give a toast and a bow out.
