Finally a mental effect that worths consideration for sure. what I like most is that spectators can feel that they "lose" their weight.the fact that it is impromptu adds a lot to the effect.and none can doubt your mental abilities cause they can see the volunteer stand on a fragile, borrowed and totally ungimmicked can.
