Everyone is crazy about "lit" but I was wondering about that other David Blaine effect; The one where David had the card revelation appear in the girls fingerprint on the middle pip of the card. I thought that was really slick.
Does anyone know the name of that effect, and has it been released for purchase? Posted: Apr 17, 2010 8:27am --------------------------------- Let's be honest, here. I'm lusting after that effect!

DD,
Do you have a link to BD performing the effect? Thanks, rochaz

I am going crazy trying to find it. Basically she had an ace of hearts or diamonds, and she held her index finger on the center pip. When David had her lift it up, it had turned into her fingerprint and the card value was written in the print to the best my memory serves. I thought it was great, and don't see why they don't release it. I know I'd buy it.

Daffydoug,
Today's your lucky day. I did some searching and found a video of the trick your looking for. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZKk2xjyi_M&feature=related The trick starts at 1:45 and goes to the end of the video. Essentially it's a single gaff card, but it was a neat effect. Hope this is what you're looking for. Thanks |

Also,
Thought you might want to also see this one. It's something else, but man is it visual. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8f2iC9L9hs&feature=related At 54 seconds, take a look at the girls face in the background (top right-hand corner). Priceless. |

Ya the trick from the second link looks just like pure magic. I believe it's called Compression. I could see why they didn't release it.

In regards to the second effect posted - do you think the deck was ordered by suit when he had the spec choose a card? Do you think that would raise suspicion with the crowd or not?
I don't think it would... I think I could do a variation of this effect. |

Hi,
Compression is a very visual and eerie feeling effect, simple to perform and works in close situations, ive been performing this during my gigs at clubs and bars across the southwest and is always received well by laymen, expecially women as they tend to get freaked out a bit. Overall a great effect and one to have in your close up arsenal R |

How did you learn this trick if it's not released?
