My go to effects are:
- Ring n String - One coin routine with Jumbo coin finale - I use a topit (so I'll vanish a deck of cards as a QUICK opener) - Multi "peak" card selection/revelations BUT THE MAIN POINT IS TO GET THE CHILDREN A TWISTED BALLOON BEFORE I LEAVE Anyone else want to share their usual line up? |

Forgot the sponges - that's probably my best one to get younger kids interrested

I guess I'd describe the magic as "1st - but brief" ("jab" at them, and if they want more, give 'em a little more - then give the balloon).

I've never even considered it. I would think it would be a distraction from the magic. Anyone want to share their thoughts on this? My "go to's" are: Bill switch Pen thru anything Sponge bunnies (kids) Invisible deck (adults) Large table: Linking rings Egg bag C/S rope

Typically I twisted the balloons last. Depending on the table however there are many times that the balloons for 3 or more children takes up the time you'd have for the table and of course your joking and making them laugh during so they have been entertained by the time your done.

OK - for larger tables, AND IF THEY JUST LOVE MAGIC, and if the other tables aren't being neglected, I do a three rope routine (with a lot of the FiberOptic moves) that involves a 3" ring. It's a 3 to 5 minute routine, but sometimes they gotta see more magic.

Even if my time is limited per table due to a busy night at the restaurant..I still do (quick) magic first. I do a few QUICK surprises with sponges that takes 30 seconds. If the kid(s) are only wanting a balloon, they HAVE to participate with the sponges - and that keeps their attention - But I don't want them to wait long for their balloon. (they see the other children at the other tables with their balloons)
