I do Glenn Falkenstein's method. But I noticed that some use a longer rope and tie it around the buttocks or legs. Does this have more impact to the audience or is it just the same to the audience point of view?

Just my opinion. The longer rope makes your pants look funny and makes you look less cool.
People who do straight jacket don't seem to mind though so try it both ways and see if it makes a difference. - Mary Mowder |

Hi Mary, I use it with my lady assistant. She wears a dress. I am planning to add more length to the rope to tie it around the buttocks or upper thighs.

Is this the routine with a another person and the sports coat?

Hi Lou,
Jane and I do this trick quit often. I think the longer rope may make the tying of the rope look akward. Remember you do have to loop it around the arms twice. I feel tying the legs might be overkill. John |

Hi John,
I totally agree with you. It will only look awkward and time consuming indeed. Thanks!
