Interesting.
There was a guy in Dudley, UK (Joe Darby) that used to jump the canal. Only he'd do it using 2 jumps. One from the bank and the other appearing to push on the water's surface. He did similar stunts using his daughter's face instead of water. As for this video I think it's very clever.
