Hi Tom:
First of all, I'm a biggest fan of your Genii magazine column and I'm Keeping my notebook already.
How important is the scripting of a magic routine for you? Do you script every line and gag or only some guide lines?
Thanks,
Hansel!

Thanks Hansel!

Scripting is quite important.

Usually, I script the routine as a silent movie, with just a bare minimum of actual lines and no gags.

Then I try the piece out, either for friends or at a low-paid gig, just to see how it plays. And with that knowledge in my pocket, I flesh out the script more.
