Me neither. But I tried real hard.

When I look back at the toughest kids in my school it makes me feel kinda good, because most of them turned out to be the biggest loosers. The toughest kid in my nieghborhood is now fat, bald, and suffering from many physical disorders. OJ made it to both the hall of fame, and to the hall of shame.

I could take a puck in the guts without crying, but I was definitely not a tough guy.

Some kids thought I was a tough kid.
I wasn't as tough as some but could hold my own. Lost some and won some. |

I was the daddy. But today, well I don’t think I could punch my way out off a paper bag. When I was kid we had boxing rings in schools. Any bully would be put in the ring with gym teacher and he would not mess about. It was hard but fair. I think there is more violence in kids today because they now they get away with so much. What they all need is a good thrashing from old gym teacher.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I never was one nor did I try.
In school we had a kid who was really bad. If you can imagine someone is born evil, he was. Rotten to the core and dumb as a doorknob-what a great combination! He was very fair though-he hated everyone equally. We had to endure that kid and his totally random outbreaks for years. Until our 8th grade spring. We were supposed to play baseball and were waiting for our gymteacher as he once again started his game. He focused his verbal attacks on me. I asked him to stop and he just said "Watcha gonna do to make me stop ******?" I had basaball bat in my hand so I whacked him in the head, not very hard but enough to knock him out. And that encouraged others to pitch in. After that, he never bothered anyone. Use a language they understand.

Tough? Me neither... which I suspect is how I gravitated to magic.

Not sure what you mean by tough. I had a reputation that I wouldn't put up with being pushed around, I'd fight even if I was going to lose, so I wasn't bothered. I was also the 'smart guy' because I did well in school (it's called reading visual learners, try it, makes school easier), but I was also the class clown I guess.

I'm not sure. He is the only mean one out of the bunch, very athletic and aggressive (which often goes hand in hand). The one thing that keeps him contained is my sister went to highschool and is long time friends with his teacher so he can't get away with anything. I think he'll listen to her if he wants to play baseball.
