Quote:
Recently we got the best-ever cease and desist letter. We're no stranger to the genre, so what could possibly make this one stand out from the rest? Read the whole thing – too funny! |

I believe the stupidity comes from those guys thinking that there was anything but a company protecting their copyright which they must do when ever it comes up or risk losing the rights.
Now to canned pork! As we all know I'm one of the newly impoverished people in the US, 148% below the Federal poverty line! Unfortunately you must be 150% below to get any help...go figure. Either way I went to the big food bank and got a couple cans of pork in a non labeled generic can...good stuff. So I take this home along with the halloween candy they gave us and podered what I could do. Well, let me tell ya. I opened the can and gave the juice to the dogs, they loved it, and put the ball of compressed meat chunks in the pan and tossed in some onion and chopped Jalapinos and a bit of Chinese chile sauce. I then made a burrito and let me tell you, it was fantastic! Yup. Tonight I'll make some of the potato flakes they gave me and then cook up my last can of pork with onion and make gravy out of the juice and give that a shot. I have some cream corn too! |

I really laughed out loud reading that.
Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

Thanx! Unfortunately I let my wife go out and shop with her friend and she decided as a princess she could get 'real groceries' since I wasn't around to stop her. We now can eat like kings! Then we get to starve after the week is over. It seems while I am broke she has a money source that is going to kick in called wishful thinking.

The whole time I was in Hawaii I kept thinking -why hasn't any company out there produced "organic, 100% free-range meat spam" yet? I think it would be a real money maker -at least here in the Bay area and perhaps on Maui...

This made NPR: Morning Edition on, I believe, Wednesday. It was one of their bottom-of-the-hour bits.

I keep thinking that some twisted soul in the "The spooky, the mysterious...the bizarre!" forum is thinking of ways to add this item to their kid's show act...

"National Pork Board"??? I think they should re-think their name, don't worry about the slogan. Here in the UK, "Viz" comic would have a field day with such a monnicker as "National Pork Board"!
In the UK, "pork" means "copulate" or more specifically, "f*c*". Brilliantly, not only have they spent a whole wad of cash, made themselves look incredibly ignorant, and shown what a bunch of complete a***h****s they are, but they've obviously drawn a whole heap of attention to "Think Geek". I plan to stop eating bacon, and use the cash to buy useless but hilarious gadgets from my favourite supplier of useless but hilarious gadgets. Well done, "Think Geek", it's about time that you got one up on an unethical and irresponsible community of fascist farmers who think it's their right to hold in captivity and slaughter animals who are more intelligent and adorable than pets (specifically, dogs. Pigs are less smelly too, and they don't bark.) Potty |

My post wasn't serious of course, I don't mind eating bacon! But I wish the "talking bacon" was really for sale!

The butcher shop at my local grocery store, the only one in the area, has a button you push to get help. When you push it you hear oinking sounds, then chickens, then a moooooo. It is great because it actually makes people guilty and kids ask why the oinking is there since they love pigs.

My favorite excerpt from the story:
