Would love to hear what other routines the rest of you perform regularly, or are
favorites of yours, with a C/S coin. |

One that always received comments is my Bishops' Fee. From a tiny pouch I extract a Copper and a Silver coins while explaining that in Medieval times an artisan like a stone mason would receive a silver coin for a fortnight's work -- enough to care for his family for a month. He also received a Copper Coin so that he could tythe the Church in thanks for his good fortune. Well, one stone cutter did some repair work for the Church and figured he didn't have to pay the tythe. So, the Rector dashed off to fetch the Bishop who came and held out his hand. The man reluctantly paid the Penny to the Bishop who placed it in his pocket. Unfortunately, when the laboror got home and opened his pouch he discover that he had only the Penny, and that the wiley Bishop had taken his Silver. Naturally, both coins can now be examined.

There are some great routines on the copper silver set (volumes2,3, and 4) of the nycms dvd series. Fisted by Geoff Latta is a classic, as is his CopSilBrass. Both can be seen on the demo dvd's. You might want to check out the many different wild coin variations, my spellbound routine that uses the wave change that Ponta borrowed for his own routine, Roth's multi phase copper silver routine with a hankerchief as well as my own take on it. I think there are about 30 or so copper silver routines in that set. My new favorites are in the newest set (volumes 11, 12, and 13), including Gallo's two copper one silver and my take on Roth's purse and Glass routine, both found on the demo dvd that magic dealers are giving away (or selling for a buck or so). For those of you going to MAES, I will be doing my latest version of wild coin, that is not only easy to do, but great for walk around situations. A real '' worker''.

I like Curtis Kam's Triple Alliance 2.0, NY Spellbound, and Coercive Purse. And as Dr. Rubinstein there is some great stuff on the NYCM series with C/S - too much too list.

Francis Carlyle taught me a wonderful routine that is easy to do and never fails to get a strong reaction.
The Effect: You show a Morgan Silver dollar and a small U.S. Penny. You place the dollar into a lady's hand and the penny in yours. When she opens her hand, thinking she still has the dollar, she finds a dollar-size copper penny and I have the dollar.

Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.
