I think that this was a gimmick that was poorly made, and then rushed out without very little thought as to any ensuing problems. In principle, it should do what it is supposed to do, but I don't feel enough thought was given to other variables, and I find it very hard to believe that this was extensively road tested before it was released. All you need is that one time when it "flips' or "flops" and the trick is blown with an ensuing red face. Just for the hell of it, I'm working on my own just out of simple self curiosity and it may very well have the same problem. However, the line on mine is next to invisible. I'm in no rush and I'll eventually see how it works out....or not. Either way, my investment will only be about $4.00 so no big thing.

Individual anecdotes "in the wild" are pretty hard to verify due to an abundance of confounding factors. I carried that large rare earth magnet, which was strong enough to screw up my HD a couple of times through the wallet and 3 layers of cloth, right next to my Credit Cards for about 6 months with no effect. An *Alternating magnetic field* is another story, but you need an AC electromagnet to produce that. Its called "degaussing". We used to do it to arcade video displays that get distorted over time as the electron beam creates lasting charged areas on the tube. Well, I finally gave in and sent Andrew some dough for this. Got my fingers crossed.

Old idea, but Andrew was clever on this one. I have it and it's practical, seems impromptu, common objects... gotta love it!

I got mine and with minimal practice, and listening to Andrew's tips on the DVD, it's working great!
