I realy like that you first do the "retention", and no balls change places. for me, that make the next move more powerful.

I love it really powerful, you wont know what hand has the balls until the end

Is that a good thing? Or should the placement of the balls be so clear that the spectator is absolutely certain that there is a ball in each hand until shown otherwise?
I think it's a confusing move.

I think it's a 'neat' move, but it's a confusing move. Unless you can find a spot in a routine where you specifically want a move which is meant to confuse an audience/spectator in a sort of fun way it may be pointless. But as I said, it is neat.

It definitely looks neat, especially when the sponge balls actually make it all the way into the hand.
I'm not trying to put down Stephen's efforts here. However, it reminds me a bit of all the Sybil cuts and in the hands flourishes that can, if done to excess, diminish the effect of the work. When the audience becomes aware of a move, then is the move magic or pseudo-magic? Take a look at this thread: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=133&5 In the case of the move in that thread, is the move for the spectators or for the magician who is doing it?

To me the move seems obviously deceptive However its own process builds (if it didn't result from) a challenge: there is not magic in the move as such, it is a only demonstration of skill.
There might possibly be a way out in doing the move as a transposition from one hand to another place than the other hand. This is not an easy task to consider for the initial hand position and the coordinated rotation is screaming challenge. Now some variants by young creative minds may lead in the right direction... Now there is another question which stands: do we need another false transfer or do we need the creation of feints and some renewed misdirection approach.

Need to see how it relates to a routine. I can see a way to do the "move" and when you open the hands they are both gone. Think Slydini.

I have to go with bill palmer on this one...neat move it truly is...not magical...playful. I suppose it would best be used as sucker/gag intro along the lines of the opening to the jenning's/alan chop cup routine or the old they changed places ball number one is now in the left hand...yadda yadda and then move into doing magic in the specs hands. it is neat and shows some creativity!

The repetition lets you know where the two will wind up, (right hand under, or left hand under), the sucker move is that they may not have gone. If this is done within a routine, I think it will be devastating.

When I see the video, I think about watching a child do the French Drop. They do the French Drop and then hold out both hands, saying "which hand is it in?"
