I waited awhile to buy this one.
I have been reviewing and working through many of the books in my library these last few months. To add a new one to the pile seemed like an excuse not to go over those others. I should not have waited. This is the first book in a long time that I have wanted to work through every effect. I have not decided which ones will go into my set list yet, but all are deserving. This one is an outstanding piece of work. Paul |

I ordered direct from John for the clear sleeve for Lost & Found. I don't know what the effect is but ...I'm happy to be getting it . Been watching my mailbox like a hawk.

For Mr. E takes a stroll does anyone just find it nicer to just set it up before hand?

Why not set it up during the effect 'either/or'??

Quick note for "lost and found" sleeves. Not so easy to find. Individual baseball card sleeves are too small. However, easy to find are the 9 pocket binder sheets. The pockets in these are bigger and you can cut out 6 individual pockets from each sheet. You wind up loosing the middle row because you cut into these when creating the individual pockets. Don't think I'm explaining it well but pick one up and it will be obvious

Haha Daren I was gonna post that I could just do it during "either/or" but I think 4 posts in a row would get a little annoying. Great idea, practicing Mr. E takes a stroll right now for fluidity. I enjoy this *** book so much! When I get married some day... years from now...I want to hire John G. .

Regarding "Either/Or", I have to admit that when I first read it, I looked at it more from the magician's point of view. In other words, I liked what it allowed me to do as far as setting up in front of the audience. When I first performed it, though, I was shocked at the reactions I received from such a simple trick. Don't overlook this.

I reconnected with magic recently after many years hiatus. Frankly it was the reputation of the stereotypical magician that turned me off and led me to distance myself from the practice. It's unbelievably fortunate that I hit on such a quality product from a magician that embodies style and the kind of magic I can connect with.
After reviewing the teaser I was convinced of the quality of One Degree. Truth in Advertising packs a powerful punch. The finest details are so well put together. A realization really dawned on me through my practice. Any little thing initially overlooked gave an "Ah-ha" moment when later found on a re-reading. It demonstrated the thought and integrity of the work. Quality. So far I have not found the sleights too demanding. However, I am taking it slow and savoring each trick. The material is so good that I want to give it the time and polish it deserves. Thanks John. |

This is indeed a very good book. "Mr. E. Takes A Stroll" is a wonderful effect and really made me thinking. After too many hours studying this effect I developed my version of it. It's totally impromptu, instant reset, can be done FASDIU and every time is different. Sorry I have not used a spectator, but I do not know many people who speak English!!! In fact, my English is terrible, I'm sorry about that too!!!
Give me your thoughts!!! Any advise is welcome. See you!!! |

I’ve been doing Ballet Stunner for a long while and it kills. Love it as well Introverted, Homage to Homing and Intuition and out of the Blue. Out of the Blue is probably my Favorite. Buy the book. it’s worth every penny.

Simply GREAT book! And Caleb Wiles and a few others mentioned Either/Or. Do NOT pass this effect by. Even if you have mad culling skills, this effect plays very strongly. The rest of the book is superb of course.
Truth in Advertising is a wonderful effect BTW and is closely related to a Barry Stephenson effect in Apocalypse called The Leeds Miracle. Both are stunners. I really like John's approach to the effect because he openly uses the something and it is there at the end and you are squeaky clean. The essays are - like David Regal's - MUST reads. Hmmm, I THINK I have posted about this book before, but, it's SO good I had to post again |

One of my favorite books on my shelf. You're nuts if you do card magic for real people and don't own this.
