Hi all,
I recently aquired the Fred Kaps Seeing is Believing DVD, which is great if you've not seen it, and on it Fred does a money counting routine where one bill vanishes each time despite being replenished by the spectator. He ends with the notes being counted onto his walket, I think 8, then the spec counts five. Fred turns and offers the money to another spec. The notes are counted again and the 23 bills have become 8 again. Is this taught anywhere? DVD, book, lecture notes, stone tablet? Please pm if you don't want to post stuff here. Many thanks, Ros

It's called Fred Kaps Currency, based on Edward Victor's 11 card trick and is an excellent interactif comedy effect.

Yes, it is Kap's Currency. Stephen Bargatze(sp) has a wonderful presentation of this (he calls it the World Famous Eleven Dollar Bill Trick), but unfortunately that video clip was taken down. To me, Stephen's presentation was much better than Kap's.

It is a very good effect. Another magic dealer you can obtain the manuscript on this effect from is Denny&Lee's Magic Studio. The shop in Vegas has them in stock at this very moment.
I've posted this in the other threads on this same topic but will again do so here as well. Michael Skinner is the one that inspired Fred Kaps to perform this effect. Michael had performed and shown the Edward Victor 11 card trick to Fred. Fred liked the effect and believed that he could make it a stronger effect for himself if he used bills instead of playing cards. |
