I just heard from Chris Washuber at Lybrary.com that he is working on an e-book version of “The Oldest Deception: Cups and Balls in the art of the 15th and 16th centuries,” by Kurt Volkmann.
Chris will announce the launch date in due course. Exciting news to those of us who cannot find this rare edition!

Any bites?
Anyone going to buy this one? A previous post seemed to generate some interest. Just wondering...

I already own a copy so I've little reason to download a virtual one. Unless of course the illustrations are now in colour

I got a copy when it came out, for various reasons, not the least of which is that it is much easier to search the PDF. It also saves wear and tear on the book.

It is certainly a title for the specialist and I don't expect many sales, but for the few who are interested in this information on the cups and balls it is a treat. For me the joy lies primarily in the preservation of the information and making it accessible to interested students.

That is, in my opinion, a worthwhile cause.

No, it doesn't. It mainly concerns the graphical representations of the cups and balls as found in art that antedates the 17th century.
